Who’s Behind Monetise?

The company behind Monetise is Webtistic Limited, a UK online marketing company founded in 1998 that specialises in generating quality traffic for clients websites through online media buying, SEO, online PR, Pay Per Click management, affiliate marketing and social media exposure.

The Managing Director, Dave Bird, is a highly respected online marketer and CPA marketing expert – and genuinely one of the nicest guys in the industry!

What Can Affiliates Expect?

Here is what the Monetise homepage looks like:

The network sets out its stall with a firm emphasis on unrivalled affiliate and advertiser support. Its selling points include:

  • Weekly payments by BACS, Wire or Paypal
  • Live affiliate support and ongoing training
  • Real time tracking (including cookieless tracking)
  • Monthly performance rewards
  • Free email list monetisation service
  • Free web hosting option for affiliates

It’s clear Monetise have consciously tried to create a network to meet the needs of affiliates who might ordinarily feel like small fish swimming in a big pond when facing the anonymity of large networks.

The network says all affiliates are welcome – including email and PPC marketers – as long as the program terms are strictly adhered to.

Logging into the interface for the first time, one can instantly see the difference now that the network has ditched the previous DirectTrack technology. The information (or ‘dashboard’) is presented in crisp black and white with easy navigation to Reports and the Latest Offers on the left hand side. While some may find the interface stark and clinical, others will appreciate the no nonsense styling and the speed at which they can whizz around from page to page.

What is lacking in aesthetics is made up with the reporting tools – while the dashboard includes simple charts showing the latest clicks and traffic totals, affiliates can fully customise their own reports using powerful API software.

A key plus point is that each affiliate is allocated their own point of contact at the network – and full details (name, phone number, email address, MSN/AIM handles) are provided to eliminate the communication barrier that other networks frequently suffer from.

Another really great feature is the Monetise Rewards program – any affiliates earning in excess of £300 commission in a single month earn ‘bonus money’ which can be redeemed against gift cards for Amazon, iTunes etc. This reward scheme is open to affiliates from around the world.

What About Advertisers?

In the true spirit of performance marketing, Monetise allow advertisers to join the network without any set up costs or monthly fees, a policy designed to appeal to young brands aiming to establish themselves in the marketplace. Instead, fees are based on a set override – 30% of the affiliates’ revenue (i.e. 30p for every 100p due to affiliates).

This pricing model also gives advertisers the opportunity to create and test campaigns in new niches and marketing verticals with no risk – the CPA model is affordable for merchants and affiliates alike.

Once again, the level of support offered by Monetise impresses – the account managers are all very experienced and keen to help and offer guidance. Each advertiser is allocated their own point of contact once they’ve signed up and are offered one-on-one consultations and ongoing account development.
