Read All About It: Our 2020 Round-Up and 2021 Plans

We all know what kind of year 2020 was for almost everyone, so will spare you the clichés and platitudes.

Our thoughts, of course, are with those whose lives were turned upside down by the pandemic and, in particular, those who have fallen victim to COVID-19.

For Azam Marketing and for our clients, it’s been a remarkably healthy year given the exceptionally trying circumstances we’ve faced. Azam’s staff have, for instance, employed our know-how to enable our clients to transition to a remote way of working. The businesses have demonstrated a remarkable degree of resilience, flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude and, with our guidance and support, have been as profitable as ever despite the challenges posed by the Coronavirus.

In terms of Azam Marketing itself, we haven’t let the virus set us back in a significant way either. Unlike the majority of organisations who enjoy “the good times” but are not genuinely interested in diligently preparing for that fabled “rainy day”, our Management have always had robust contingency plans and meaningful financial reserves at the ready for sharp economic downturns and therefore, as at the time of the global financial crisis in 2008, we were well placed to go from strength to strength in 2020.

We haven’t applied for or taken a single penny in bailout funding or sought any other form of support for our company or staff from any government, bank, lender or other entity.

The only certainty about these “uncertain times” is that this is the new zeitgeist to which we now need to adapt and in which we must learn to thrive. The online sphere has been what we at Azam Marketing have been specialising in since the dawn of the internet in 1997. The “new normal” is very much the “old normal” for us, a way of working which we have excelled at and capitalised on for over 23 years.
