For the first time in years I haven’t written any articles or blog posts for several weeks and I was recently asked by an industry friend where I’d disappeared to.

Two events, on the 25th and 27th of December, 2008 ended up preoccupying my mind to such an extent that I didn’t feel like writing about online marketing or even the occurrences themselves, and that’s why I’ve stayed schtum.

The next blog will be about the Christmas Day tragedy, but I’ll start with what commenced two days after that.

As we all know, between 27 December and 18 January the Israeli military machine carried out a war on one and a half million civilians imprisoned in a strip of land 25 miles long and 4-7.5 miles wide. The onslaught lead to 1,314 Palestinians being killed – 412 of them children – and 5,300 injured, and the sheer brutality meted out on so many helpless people left me dazed.

A long time ago I realised freedom of speech is a luxury only certain people in Western society can enjoy without being stereotyped, hence I’ll just present a song by Michael Heart and move on to scripting my second blog post:
