Simon Burgess has joined TradeTracker as the first Chief Operating Officer (COO). Simon’s role at the European affiliate network will be to support the current management team to continue TradeTracker’s growth, aiming to make it a leading choice for online performance marketing for both merchants and publishers.

Simon has had two distinct parts to his career. He spent ten years working in above the line media from TV to Print to Outdoor, culminating in a Board Account Director position at the Interpublic media agency Initiative. The last ten years have seen him hold board-level positions in online media, technology and creative arenas. In his last role as a member of the Tradedoubler Global Senior Leadership team, Simon ran the UK and Ireland affiliate and performance display business.

Simon Burgess says the reason he came on board the TradeTracker ship was the “compelling mix of superior technology, a team obsessed with results and a culture of realising ambitions that made the opportunity here unmissable. There are currently many companies operating in the affiliate market, but only a few have the potential to become market leader. Knowing the needs and wants of the fast growing and maturing market, I am convinced that TradeTracker has a bright future in front of them, and I am very happy that I can help them with achieving their goals”.

Paul van Doorn, CEO, says on Simon’s appointment: “We are very happy that we can welcome Simon to our team. I am sure that Simon with all his knowledge, skills and experience will become a major asset for TradeTracker. We have already achieved a market leading position in different markets, and taking Simon onboard we are assured of continuing our strong growth.”

“Simon’s role is to realise the potential of the UK market where we have ambitious growth plans and to ensure effective and profitable operations in all the markets we open in. Finally, his role is also to leverage the growing capability we have in international affiliate marketing delivery for international clients.”

TradeTracker is currently operational in eight markets (UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Hungary), with plans for new market launches in the short and medium term. TradeTracker UK has gone from strength to strength in recent months, which has lead to it being shortlisted for the International category of the a4u Awards which Azam Marketing is sponsoring.

Andy Guest, formerly of Zanox, Buy.at and DGM is Commercial Director of UK operations at TradeTracker. “This sees TradeTracker UK enter the second phase of our re-launch, combining Simon Burgess coming on board and the launch of clients such as Swiftcover & AXA Insurance,” he asserts. “It proves we are a network with serious ambition.”
